Our practice nurse appointments are by invite only. All services provided by the Practice Nurse include patients with chronic disorders including asthma, chronic lung disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. The practice nurse has an active role in health promotion and travel immunisation advice.

Routine bloods requested by GP are via Treatment Room by appointment only.

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

There are 6 receptionists and one receptionist/typist in the practice. They are trained to help run the surgery and are willing to help with any difficulties you may have.

The district nurses are based in the health centre and provide nursing care to housebound patient. They can be contacted by phoning 0141 355 2180

Health Visitors

The health visitors are based in the health centre and are involved in the care of young children. Both health visitors can give advice on a wide range of child-related issues.
